I met Marilynn Fairchild upon her return to Charlotte in 1975. I interviewed her for a position with my firm, PENTES DESIGN, INC.. After reviewing her excellent credentials and samples of her work, I invited her to join our staff as a contract artist to produce commissioned art projects for one of our most valued clients, who was most pleased with her stunning work.
In short order, I found Marilynn to be an unusually talented and creative artist capable of working in any and all drawing, painting, and dimensional media in a timely and professional manner. Marilynn could always deliver a project that lacked for nothing on time and on budget. Her range of abilities encompass work in pencil, pen and ink, watercolor, mixed-media, pastels, acrylics, oils, as well as sculpture in clay, stone, and metal. No matter what medium, her work always reflects her finely honed skills that yield work that commands attention.
Over the years, Marilynn has acquired a reputation as an excellent art teacher who, by example, motivates her students to excel. Her work hangs in both private and corporate collections, as well as galleries and museums, and has been shown in many national and international venues. "First Place" and "Best of Show" awards have been won throughout her career.
Marilynn Fairchild is most qualified for competitive consideration in the commissioning of any Public and/or Private Art Project in any medium required. Marilynn's work reflects her inner beauty and her prowess in communicating art to all people at all levels.
